Mary’s Kitchen

A place to find a home cooked meal and a warm welcome.

Mary’s Kitchen provides a hot meal to homeless individuals and families, the working poor and many elderly on Wednesdays from 4:45-6:00 p.m. in the St. Mary’s community room.

The building is in downtown Stuart for easy accessibility. Over 100 parishioners are involved during the year and the church considers the program to be their “flagship outreach ministry.”

The atmosphere is welcoming and nonjudgmental. They usually have a piano player. Free clothing, once a week raffle of non-perishable goods, sporadic Health Department free blood pressure, screening and referrals, and a Christmas party at holiday time are offered. The church has reached out to other organizations to support their feeding programs including, the Salvation Army, VFW and American Legion, Council on Aging, Project L.I.F.T. and the East Stuart Initiative. They have become a well know community feeding program.
